Precoated Roll Forming

Precoated roll forming is a Moheco specialty. Prefinishing
puts the color or finish on the product before it is formed,
minimizing handling, processing, and cost. Using prefinished
materials enables us to produce finished metal products in a
single continuous operation. Two examples of precoated roll
forming are shown on our security lock components page,
and our mirror supports page.

Moheco operates roll forming machines with tooling
specially engineered for pre-plated, pre-painted, pre-coated,
electro-coated, anodized and pre-polished metals. Roll forming
is most compatible with pre-painted and precoated aluminum,
brass, copper, zinc, cold rolled steel, hot-dipped galvanized steel
and stainless steel, and accommodates coil widths up to 12".
Our precoated roll forming capability is .010" to .080". We also
offer PVC coatings to protect parts from marks and scratches
over time.

To assure highest quality for all runs, Moheco takes care
with every detail, from the tool steel used to make the roll forming
stations, and the plating that protects prefinished material, to the
engineering of tooling to prevent springback, and the use of only
uniform raw stock. Moheco roll forming systems are designed
to provide the smoothest material flow.

Moheco secondary operations add value to our precoated
roll forming projects, while saving customers time and
transportation expense. Post-forming operations we provide
include punching, bending, slotting, notching, mitering,
cut-to-length and spot welding. We can also do perforating,
embossing, hole-making, cutouts and tabs.
